General Statement of Duties:

The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting various Human Resources activities such as: compliance and tracking, benefit administration, staffing, business processes and policy execution, training and talent development, and research. The internship is designed to provide the opportunity to learn new skills and help make contributions to a variety of projects.

Essential Duties:

  1. Supports compliance and employee information tracking. Assists with reviewing and converting employee personnel files to electronic database.
  2. Collects necessary historical information for personnel investigations related to benefit or status changes, employee relations, payroll adjustments, etc.
  3. Assists with talent acquisition, including; conducting phone screens, answering candidate questions, and supporting hiring manager needs.
  4. Aids in the set-up and execution of new hire orientation including; orientation check-in, collecting, completing, and tracking appropriate paperwork, assisting with new hire orientation presentation and other related requests as needed.
  5. Researches and reports benchmark data for various employee analytic topics such as: industry turnover, hiring and unemployment trends, etc.
  6. Supports additional projects being carried out by other employees of the Human Resources team as needed.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Preferred sophomore, junior, or senior level college student, pursuing a related degree
